Aldelo For Restaurants Wireless version 3.0 released after March 1, 2006 received several important enhancements that simplify wireless order entry process significantly.
One of the new addition is a tool called "Auto Connector" that will reside on the PDA device. This tool allows the PDA to automatically connect to the Windows Server's Terminal Services session without user intervention. This capability greatly reduce the need to administer the PDA device when there is any type of disruption in connectivity.
Additionally, the "Auto Connector" tool makes the PDA screen to be full size. This will allow our Wireless POS application to run in KIOSK mode. This means that our solution will receive more screen space for user interfaces. Additionally, this also prevents users from exiting the Wireless POS software when not authorized.
Having the "Auto Connector" solves much of the connectivity issues related to Terminal Services. However, as a result of "Auto Connector", we are also able to conserve on battery power for the PDA device. Since the PDA will auto reconnect using "Auto Connector", users may simply turn off the PDA device when not in use. This will significantly reduce power consumption and maximum usage in one charge. When the user turns the PDA back on, our "Auto Connector" will connect connect to the server without any user intervention.
Additionally, we've also made our wireless POS solution to support various screen sizes. For example, screen sizes of 240 x 320 or 480 x 640 are fully supported. Any other sizes may be supported as well with our new version.
Lastly, our new wireless POS received a completely new user interface design compared with our 2.8 platform. The new interface style allows user to enter orders much faster than ever before.
