As part of the requirements set forth by the PCI Security Standards Council, Aldelo L.P. has certified its XERA POS, as PCI PA-DSS (Payment Application Data Security Standard) validated. Validation was achieved in August of 2011, with PA-DSS Version 2.0 and conducted by IGXGlobal Inc. IGX is certified by the PCI Security Standards Council as a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).
This announcement demonstrates Aldelo L.P.'s commitment to the integrity of cardholder data while helping merchants meet Visa's Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
PA-DSS is the standard against which Payment Application has been tested, assessed, and validated. The PA-DSS Validation is intended to ensure that the Payment Application will help to achieve and maintain PCI Compliance with respect to how Payment Application handles user accounts, passwords, encryption, and other payment data related information. Together the PA-DSS Validation and the PCI Compliance, obtained by the merchant, provides the ability to conform to industry best practices when handling, managing and storing payment related information.
